This EP holds more promise within its four songs than we have seen in the NZ indie scene for some time. Sure there have been some contenders out there, but these guys look like they may actually deliver a killer album.

The Coshercot Honeys are an Auckland 5-piece playing with an intriguing mix of American and British influences - think The Strokes mixed with The Stranglers, along with a side helping of The Doors. Currently unsigned, their star has been on the rise in recent months thanks to the excellent ‘We’re All Lions’ number, as well as a support slot with The Veils.

While the other three songs don’t quite live up to the standard set by the title track, each hints at a direction that their music could go – and that is the exciting bit.

Sign ‘em, record ‘em, let’s fulfil some potential.
