Salasai’s winter 2010 collection saw designer Kirscha Whitcher presenting Blu Colla Lovers. And indeed, there was a fistful of collars and some gorgeous blue shades to be seen. The collars came in the form of bow fronted blouses. The blue manifested in the Salasai 2010 signature print – text screen printed over dark inky shades of cobalt, black and blue; as seen on shirt-dresses, wraps and leggings.

This collection was more feminine than Salasai’s previous offerings, with shots of lace seen throughout the show, even featuring on some oversized badge. However a sporty androgynous feel still lingered thanks to the heavy presence of vests, sharp tailoring (especially when it came to trousers) and a palette of black, white & primary colours. With regards to styling, the models sported fabulous '80s era hair – swept to the side, bouffant and highly textured. They were shod in black boxing inspired booties with knockout white laces – reference perhaps to a blue collar sporting favourite.
